A West Valley City woman pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge after she allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a teenage boy last July.
Sarah Mae Crutchley, 27, accepted a plea deal from the state in which she pleaded no contest to misdemeanor unlawful sexual activity with a minor, in exchange for one count of the same charge being reduced from a third-degree felony and the dismissal of a second third-degree unlawful sexual activity with a minor charge.
According to a police report from the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office, Crutchley contacted the 14-year-old boy via social media and asked him to come for a ride to Middle Canyon late at night on July 16.
In an interview in the report, the victim said Crutchley talked about her sex life while they drove before parking in the canyon, where she allegedly engaged in oral sex with the victim.
When the sheriff’s office interviewed Crutchley, she denied having sexual relations with the victim. She did admit picking up the victim, going to the canyon and taking pictures but said they simply walked and talked.
