The Administrative Office of the Courts will conduct a statewide survey to gauge public perception of, and experience with, Utah courts.
In a news release Wednesday, the AOC announced it would administer single-day surveys in 38 courts throughout the state of Utah. The AOC will conduct its survey for the Tooele County Court on Monday, June 29.
Anyone at the courthouse Monday will be eligible to participate in the survey if they are attending or visiting the court and are not an employee or visiting a different agency.
“The court will use the data to ensure the courts are accessible and that individuals are being treated fairly by the court,” said Utah State Court Administrator Dan Becker in the release. “Feedback from the public about the court’s performance will help us provide better service.”
The news release acknowledged past survey results found areas where performance fell short of expectations but did not provide any examples.
The AOC release did say survey results found the majority of respondents had positive experiences and perception with the state’s courts and its employees.
